• Use cloth diapers instead of disposables. In the U.S. over 27 million disposables are thrown away every year
• Get rid of the disposable razor. In the U.S. over 2 billion are thrown away every year
• Try to give up up gum. It is made of synthetic rubber, which is plastic and over 100,000 tons are discarded worldwide on a yearly basis
• Get the plastic off your face. There are over 300,000 plastic  beads in a tube of face wash

These statistics are alarming. And we must do our part to stop plastics from destroying our environment. It takes 6 liters of water to make a one-liter plastic bottle.
