During the first week of every month, bulky items can be left on the tree lawn. These include furniture, box springs, washers, and dryers. For a more thorough list of all things recyclable and so forth, follow this link to North Ridgeville Recycling page.
The city does offer yard waste pickup beginning in April and through November. Christmas trees will be picked up at the curb during the first 2 weeks of January. Yard waste must fit into your blue trash bin, or these items will have to go to the landfill which is not a desirable outcome because of the fact that landfills are running out of space.
Tree branches and brush must be tied and bundled neatly to be serviced by the city. Twigs and branches should not exceed four feet in length and weigh no more than fifty pounds. As per most cities, please return your grass clipping to your lawn for mulching.
Construction debris, auto parts, tires, and dead animals will not be picked up by the city. The Lorain County Collection Center will accept tires, paints, batteries and other household hazardous wastes. The center is located at:
540 South Abbe Road
Elyria, OH 44036
