Yard Waste and Brush Collection

The city requests that you obey the following guidelines as it pertains to the collection of brush and yard waste. Stack all debris into neat piles and keep the bundles under four feet. Bundles should be no longer than eight feet in length, under six inches in diameter, and cut into three-foot sections. And, if you happen to have a pile of debris that will take 2 workers more than fifteen minutes to load into the truck, your pile will be left behind. If you have loose materials place them into brown yard waste bags. Don’t mix metal items with the brush. This can damage the chipper.

Appliances are picked up on the street when your regular rubbish is collected. Residential construction debris is allowable but it must not exceed 2-cubic yards. Some accepted debris includes drywall, plumbing fixtures, windows, and wood doors. All of these materials must weigh less than fifty pounds. Use a pharmacy disposal service to get rid of unwanted meds. If you need to dispose of needles ensure that you place them in a rigid plastic container and put the syringes out with your regular trash. As far as tires are concerned, drop them off at a retail tire dealer for proper disposal.
