Recycling in the Village of Chardon

The village of Chardon does not offer curbside recycling services. Recyclables can be dropped off all week during daylight hours only. There are 2 different colored bins where you can drop off cardboard and paper in one container and non-paper items in the other.

On your regular scheduled trash day the city will pick up windows, glass, and mirrors but these items must be taped and cannot weigh over 100 pounds. Carpet, cloth furniture, and mattresses will also be accepted but should be wrapped in plastic. The Village will not pick up tires, dead animals, paints, or car parts. Brush Collection

The brush collection is held throughout the year, primarily between the months of April and September. Refer to the link below to get more information about this and other services. City officials ask residents to set all debris as close to the driveway apron or street as possible. Ensure the length of your branches does not exceed 5 feet and the diameter of your debris is no larger than five inches.

The town of Chardon is known for its Maple Syrup production and the Geauga County Maple Festival.
