Allen residents have been provided by the city do it yourself trash disposal program with two loads of residential debris and trash. Furthermore, two loads of yard trimmings per month at the Custer Road Transfer Station and Wood Grinding Operation. This program is strictly prohibited for commercial businesses or contractors. The transfer station is located at the Custer Road Transfer Station:

• Acceptable Residential Waste Items are debris and trash generated within the residential property that is not more than 6 feet for any given dimension: Tile, Bicycles, Furniture, Food waste, Lawn furniture, Packaging material, Grills (no propane tanks), Rolled rugs & carpet or carpet pads, Stained/painted wood or fence panels, Lawn-mowers (gasoline and oil removed).
• Acceptable Residential Recycling Items Brush, Bagged leaves, Grass clippings, Used oil filters, Used oil (maximum of five gallons per visit), Whole passenger vehicle tires (maximum of 4 per visit).

Recycling

New residents to Allen may use a one-time-service to dispose of flattened cardboard boxes. They will also pick up packing paper of up to three boxes. No bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or foam.
